If you want that little more in space and comfort, the Carinthia Explorer II Plus is your choice. With a single supporting pole, the Explorer can be erected as a stand alone by peggin both ends or without the pole by tying the apex to a line from a branch. With space at the head for a medium pack or belt-kit, the Explorer keeps the bivy off your face and give a great nights comfort in the worst weather. This is our top-selling bivy and for good reason.

Pinnacle of product quality and customer service.
Talked with the owner over the phone for a while to be informed the item was required processing. Super kind guy with deep military outdoor experience. Product came through perfect, phenomenal quality which cannot really be better. I expect the bivy to last upwards of 12 years. Customer service was unreal as he included a few exclusive extras for the inconvenience. 10/10 amazing bivy and completely satisfied with service

Great Bivy
Well I took this for a pack in hunting trip in NZ and I was really impressed with the room and versatility of this bivy bag. Even deep in the bush under canopy it was quite a cold windy night and although this is heavier than other bivys it was good to be able to zip it up and have it off your face and have room inside to store gear if needed. It does not fall in the light weight category but it is easy to save the weight elsewhere and make use of the advantages of this bivy when the weather is at its worse.
