Bungee straps are almost an essential for setting up a hotchie or other kind of shelter. They stretch around tree trunks, they keep your shelter tight and straight and they tie up other gear, hold gear on your pack and generally keep stuff secure when you need it. Mil-Tec bungees are the ideal at 75cm long and available in low-vis Olive or Coyote with black hooks. Each pack of Mil-Tec Bungees contains two bungee cords of the same colour. These should be a part of your shelter stet-up!
